Neil Berg's 100 Years of the Weinberg Center Fairfax Theatre reviews
Very high culture quotient
Kennedy Center would have been better, but this was extremely cool. It was not a "show" rock, or otherwise. The concert was an honest-to-God. The second set was much better than the first set, which ended strong despite being weak. The songs "King of Pain," "Roxanne," "Why Should I Cry for You," "Russians," and "Tomorrow We'll See" were awesome. I was slightly disappointed as I didn't get at least one of my 3 fav songs, though not nearly as much as by U2 in C-ville. Mostly good orchestrations. Neil Berg's 100 Years of the Weinberg Center was cool as ever. Unfortunately, a genius who has just seemed to be "mailing it in," lately, with no original studio album in 7 years. "Symphoncities" is just a very good Greatest Hits reimagining. But, it's Neil Berg's 100 Years of the Weinberg Center! 3-stars.
